This is part of the Friendship Square Project 2011. Please check out other videos in this project! Thanks for watching!
For this video I used a size US F5/3.75mm hook and sport weight yarn. For a 6X6 square I chained 25 and crochet for 10 rows.
Beginners Level
Need to know: Double crochet and how to chain
Instructions:
Chain a multiple of 3 plus 4 more. Double crochet into the 5th chain from the hook. Chain one. Double crochet into the same stitch. Skip 2 chains. Double crochet, chain one, double crochet into the same stitch. Repeat this pattern until you have 2 chains left unworked. Double crochet into the last chain. Chain 3. Turn your work. This is where it gets easy. Double crochet into the first V. (Do not insert your hook into a chain just into the V). Chain one, Double crochet into the same V. Now continue this pattern of double crochet, chain, one, double crochet into each V in the row. When you get to the end of the row double crochet into the space where you double crocheted in the last row. Chain 3 and turn. Repeat this process until you have reached the desired length.
where did i get it ?

The largest crochet blanket measures 24.68 m (81 ft) by 11.58 m (38 ft) and was made by Daphne O'Connor (USA) in two years and completed on 31 July 2007.
I am trying to go for the record.
I started @ 24:00 on 4/15/11
I'm using a size K 10 1/2-6.50mm hook (would use a smaller hook but they are all in used on other projects.) Hopefully I be updating on the regular about this event.

hi all
If you have read any of my other journals blogs , or works. You know I love the arts. I have been fumbling with crafts off and on. and i realized why not share what I do with others. Who knows maybe just maybe I will actually get some finished. Yeah my mind works 10x's faster than the rest of me LOL. But you gotta love it.
see the lil baby ticker to the right of the journal that is keeping the count down for the baby quilt I need to get finished for the birth of lil Ms. Missy (baby doesn't have a name yet) (and no it isn't mine)
